About the lab

A small space for looking closely at physical things through digital tools.

jj.lab is a developing practice focused on 3D scanning, spatial documentation and thoughtful forms of interaction on the web.

The work moves between capture, making and interpretation: recording material detail, shaping digital objects, and designing ways for people to encounter them.

This page is intentionally provisional. A fuller biography, collaborators and project context will be added as the lab develops.

Current focus

Three connected areas of enquiry.

01

Capture

Photogrammetry, scanning workflows and the translation of physical surfaces.

02

Interpretation

Annotations, metadata and narratives that make digital objects more legible.

03

Interaction

Web experiments that create deliberate, accessible encounters with 3D material.
